Olson, John A. (15 Aug. 1850 - 16 Nov. 1938)

John A. Olson died at his home in Abbotsford Thursday night after an illness of fourteen weeks at the age of 88 years. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Presbyterian church in Abbotsford, Rev. E. L. Hoover officiating, and burial was made in the Colby cemetery. Masonic rites were given at the grave with O. R. Briggs of Colby officiating.

Six past masters of the Abbotsford lodge acted as pall bearers - F. B. Wing, Charles Hoffman, Ralph Green, Frank Jackson, Nelson Ouimette and Nels Peterson.

The deceased was born August 15, 1850, in Oconomowoc. He was a past master of the Masonic lodge of Abbotsford, Wis. Surviving are the widow, six children, Mrs. Albert Strebe, Mrs. R. H. Treat and Del Olson of Abbotsford, Mrs. Frank Juneau of Chippewa Falls and J. M. Olson of Wausau. Also three sisters, Mrs. Kate Schwartz, Mrs. Mabel Holck and Mrs. Ida Hockmuth of Hartland.
