Sorenson, Edward A. (5 DEC 1895 - 2 DEC 1938)
Edward Arthur Sorenson, 43, who had lived his entire life at Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.), was laid to rest Monday afternoon when funeral services were conducted at the Longwood Lutheran Church, the Rev. Norson officiating at the service. Interment was made in the church cemetery.
Mr. Sorenson had been bothered with heart trouble for the past 20 years. The past year the ailment became more bothersome and necessitated hospitalization at various times. He had been confined to St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield where he passed away last Friday, Dec. 2, 1938, for the past month.
Edward was born on Dec. 5, 1895, at Longwood, where he spent his entire life receiving his education in the Longwood school. When able he devoted his time to farming on the farm of his brother, Emil, with whom he made his home.
Mr. Sorenson was an unmarried man and is survived by three brothers, Emil of Longwood, Olaf of Milwaukee, and Hendrich who lives in the west, and also by a sister, Mrs. James Peterson, who lives at Anoka, Minn.
Edward’s loss will be keenly felt by his family, relatives and friends who cherished his company and marveled at the sunny disposition and courage that was always so prevalent during the many years of his illness.
Pallbearers at the service were Edwin Rossow, Art Swenson, Fred and Silas Twait and Oscar and Arthur Anderson.
