Wehrmann, Theodore (30 Jan. 1861 - 23 May 1939)
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon for Theodore Wehrmann who died May 23 at the Marshfield, Wisconsin hospital, dropsy and complications being the cause of his death. Rev. J. Brandt officiated at the services which were held at 1:30 at the home and at 2:00 o’clock at the Christ Ev. Lutheran church at Abbotsford, Wis. Internment was made in the Abbotsford cemetery. Pall bearers were Gustave Hintz, Wm. Hintz, Henry Jacobi, Anton Kramer, Louis Beilke, Henry Parge. Flower girls were Ellen Jacobi, Margaret Kochian, Adeline Kochian, Dorothy Wibbin, Ruth Wibbin and Anita Wehrman.
The deceased was born on January 30, 1861, at Sheboygan, Wis., thus reaching the age of 78 years, 3 months and 23 days. He was married to Augusta Weideman at Plymouth, Wis., July 11th, 1886, and a few days later, on July 16th, 1886, they came to this locality and engaged in the business of farming.
Surviving are his widow and seven children, namely - Lorenz Wehrmann of Abbotsford, Mrs. Hilda Rodhe of Wauwatosa, Mrs. Chas. Tiews of Waukesha, Mrs. Fred Walk of Waukesha, Louis Wehrmann of Waterloo, Iowa, Herbert Wehrmann of Colby, Amelia Wehrmann of Chicago. Also two sisters, Mrs. Henry Dickman of Sheboygan and Mrs. Clara Voss of Kiel.
The deceased was a man of excellent habits, fine moral character, a good husband and father and a fine neighbor. Like all old pioneers, he was of a congenial and hospitable disposition. He was well-liked by all who knew him but now another old pioneer is gone.
Out of town relatives present for the funeral were Mrs. Clara Voss of Kiel, Mrs. Mathilda Dickman of Sheboygan. Mrs. Tillie Falk, Mrs. Chas. Tiews and Mrs. Hilda Rodhe of Wauwatosa, Louis Wehrmann of Waterloo, Iowa, and Amelia Wehrmann of Chicago.
Friends at the services included Tony Mateofsky and Mr. and Mrs. Felix Bowman of Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schlik of Fenwood, Mr. and Mrs. William Hass of Stetsonville, Mr. and Mrs. John Kobs, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sazaman, Mrs. John Sazaman, Jr., Gust Wucherpfennig, Mr. and Mrs. William Grier, Herman Weideman and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Leffel of Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dickman, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dickman and Mrs. Ella Grunewald of Sheboygan, Mrs. Caroline Spitzer of Kiel, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Radue and Mrs. Arthur Krueger of Glenbuelah.
