Supple, Vera A. (15 June 1904 - 14 June 2007)

Vera A. Supple, 102, slipped away quietly and peacefully at Hetzel Care Center in Bloomer on Thursday, June 14, 2007, the day before her 103rd birthday.

She was born June 15, 1904, in Unity, Wis., to Josephine (Nikodem) and Fred Wescott. She grew up in Chippewa Falls. Vera married Ed Krall. She had been employed as a stitcher at Chippewa Shoe Company for 54 years, from 1918 until her retirement in 1971. Vera married Gordon Supple and he preceded her in death. She had been resident at Hetzel Care Center since August 2004. She was a member of the Notre Dame Parish and its P.C.C.W., and a member of the Women of the Moose.

Survivors include two grandsons, Terry and Thomas Krall; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, James Krall; her parents; two sisters, Margaret Larson and Lyda Hanson; and three brothers, Earl, Garnie, and Manny Wescott.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 18, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls, with Father Brian Jazdzewski celebrating the Mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow at Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday and until 10 a.m. Monday at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls, where the Notre Dame P.C.C.W. will recite the rosary at 5 p.m. Sunday.

Vera’s family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff of Hetzel Care Center for their diligent caring and consideration of Vera during these past months.
