DeLap, Frank Austin (15 Jan. 1870 - July 1939)

Frank Austin DeLap, a former resident of Abbotsford, died at Stevens Point at the age of 69 years as the result of a heart attack. Masonic funeral services were held last week Wednesday.

The deceased was born January 15th, 1870, at Virgua. He was married to Madeline Charpier of Chippewa Falls on November 2, 1897. He was a former conductor of the old Wisconsin Central and operated on a run on the Soo Line with Abbotsford as a terminal. The family moved to Stevens Point in 1925.

He is survived by his widow and daughter, Mrs. Ozro T. Premo, of Milwaukee, three grand children, a sister, Mrs. Leslie Hyland of Edgerton and a brother, William DeLap of Madison.

This is great. I am a great great grandson of Methodist Minister Rev.W.F DeLap, should be father of Frank A. DeLap. He died Dec. 5th 1914 @8am according to his working bible passed down to me from my mother Shayne Francis Premo - LaForge from her mother Audrey DeLap-Premo.The Bible I have is inscripted " W.F.DeLap's Accept this precious gift of love from home, New Lisbon, Wis. April 4th 1887. It is precious to me. I would love to discuss it more.
