Teresinski, Alberta Martha (28 Feb. 1914 - 8 Feb. 2004)

Alberta Martha Kissinger Teresinski, 89, Oneida, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at home with her family. She was born Feb. 28, 1914, in Loyal, Wis., to the late Phillip C. and Alma Orinada (Davis) Kissinger. In 1933, she graduated from Loyal High School. On June 4, 1938, she married John A. Teresinski in the Town of Spruce. They moved to Hobart in 1953. Alberta had been a longtime member and had served as President of the Gold Star Mothers. She had also served as State President of the Gold Star Mothers for two years. Mrs. Teresinski is a member of the WWI Barracks, 1199 Auxiliary. She has also been a member of the VFW Post 2037 Auxiliary.

Her family includes her ten children and their spouses, Alice Gannon, Green Bay; John and Ellie Teresinski, South Elgin, Ill.; Shirley and Gerald Skaletski, Green Bay; Melvin Teresinski, Hobart; Allan Teresinski, Two Rivers; Raymond and Peggy Teresinski, Germantown, Wis.; Barbara Teresinski, Green Bay; Mary Matuszak, Green Bay; Thomas Teresinski, Green Bay; Jean Solfest, Milwaukee;19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Teresinski; a son, Joseph Teresinski, who died in Vietnam; three brothers, Lawrence, Harold and Roland Kissinger; two sisters, Geneva Tice and Emily Genette.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave. from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Deacon Bob Nooker officiating. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Howard.

The Teresinski family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Unity Hospice, especially Nicole, Dawn, Sandy and Tom and Dr. Strungs for their care of Alberta during her illness.

So sorry to hear of her passing. My spelling of our name is similar on my dad's and uncles birth certificates. I guess that we might be related in some way.

If this can reach any of the Teresinski family, let then know that they have relatives in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Georgia, South Dakota, and Michigan. The most famous Tereshinski's are Joe Tereshinski who played for the Redskins and his grandson's who played at Wake Forest (John) and Joe T (Georgia)
