Konczak, Jacob (23 JAN 1865 - 13 SEP 1939)

Jacob Konczak died at his farm in the town of Roosevelt (Taylor Co., Wis.), of cancer, on Wednesday, Sept. 13th, 1939, having reached the age of seventy-four years, seven months and twenty days.

Mr. Konczak was born in Poland on Jan. 24, 1865. He was married to Miss Mary Mechalak at Lemont, Ill., on Sept. 15, 1895. He became a resident of Thorp territory thirty-five years ago, moving here with his family from Chicago.

Surviving are his widow and nine children, Paul, Valentine and Joe of Lublin, John of Chicago, (Helen) Mrs. Stanley Chuckro, (Frances) Mrs. Chas. Zurback, (Sophie) Mrs. Joe Matykowski of Chicago, (Verna) Mrs. John Fryza of Lublin and (Stella) Mrs. John Eileis of Cicero, Ill., and one sister, Mrs. Mary Neugergauer of Chicago.

Funeral services were held at St. Stanislaus Church at Lublin Monday morning, Rev. Jos. Rapala officiating and interment taking place in the parish cemetery.
