Schiller’s Undertaking Home to Readstown Man

Arthur L. Terhune of Readstown last Saturday took over the business of the Schiller Funeral home from Mrs. Rose Schiller. The deal did not involve the furniture store.

Mr. Terhune has spent the last six years in undertaking work. He was affiliated with the Frautschi Funeral home in Madison for some time, and lately has been associated with his father-in-law in undertaking business in Readstown, near Viroqua.

The business will continued for the present under the Schiller name.

The Terhune family has moved to Neillsville and is occupying the apartment in the funeral home on East Fourth Street. There are three children: Yvonne, 14, a high school freshman; Arthur, Jr. 12, in the seventh grade; and Patricia Ann, who celebrated her seventh birthday Saturday by moving her to her home.

The business has been under the Schiller name for the last 16 years. The late William F. Schiller brought I on May 1, 1926, from H. H. Eberhart. Following the death of her husband, Mrs. Schiller took over the active management of the undertaking and furniture business, and until tow years ago was assisted by her oldest son, Robert, now an army captain serving in New Guinea.
