Hendrickson, Anna (25 Nov. 1868 - 19 July 1940)
Mrs. Joseph Hendrickson died suddenly Friday morning at 10:50 o’clock at her home two and one-half miles west of Unity, cardiac embolism being the cause of her death. She had been ill only since Thursday night. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Trinity Lutheran church at Unity, Rev. J. A. Olson officiating, and internment was made in the parish cemetery. Grand sons acted as pall bearers and grand daughters were in charge of the flowers but several friends were also obliged to carry flowers because there were so many.
Mrs. Hendrickson, nee Anna Carlson, was born in Lappfjord, Finland, on Nov. 25th, 1868, thus reaching the age of 71 years, four months and nine days. She came to the United States with her parents when 14 years of age and resided in Minneapolis where she was married to Joseph Hendrickson on Sept. 3, 1882. Her former husband, Charles Snowberg had died some years previously. Since 1892, Mrs. Hendrickson has lived on a farm near Unity, Wis. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church and was a member of the ladies’ aid and missionary societies of that church. She was well known for her Christian character and kind, gentle and friendly ways.
Surviving besides her husband are the following children: Mrs. Fred (Alvina) Seefeld of Spencer, Mrs. Albert (Elsie) Seefeld of Spencer, Alfred Hendrickson of Unity, Mrs. Art (Edna) Schmidt of Colby, Edwin Hendrickson of Unity, and Andrew Snowberg of Unity, Wis. Three children preceded her in death.
Out of town relatives present at the funeral were Mrs. Emma Johnson of Minneapolis, Minn., Dorothy Snowberg of Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Seefeldt of Minocqua and Mr. and Mrs. Mark *** Note: The rest of the article was illegible.
