Kasper, Moritz (23 Sept. 1873 - 1 May 1941)

Moritz Kasper, a former resident of the town of Colby, died at his home at Hilbert last Thursday night at the age of 67 years following an illness of several months. Funeral services were held at Hilbert Sunday afternoon and burial was made in the cemetery at Potter.

Mr. Kasper was born on a farm near Hilbert on September 23, 1873. He was married to Miss Emma Berg on May 20th, 1902, and came to the town of Colby in the fall of 1908. They engaged in farming until June 1, 1938, when their son, Harvey Kasper, took over the farm, and they returned to Hilbert. Before coming to Colby, they also lived at Brillion for a while.

The deceased is survived by his wife and six children - Harvey Kasper of Colby, Mrs. Raymond Miller of Colby, Wis., and Mrs. Alfred Lautenschaeger and Dorothy and Donald Kapser of Hilbert. Also six sisters and one brother.
