The couple have 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren: Marcia and Maureen Marquardt, daughters of the Norman Marquardts, and Gene Ray Lammer, son the Clarence Lammers.

A 6 o’clock dinner was served at an appropriately decorated table which had as its centerpiece a large wedding cake. The honor couple were presented with a gift from the family.
