Pauline Stachnik

Pauline Stachnik, 93, Wausau, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, at North Central Health Care, Wausau, Wis.

Survivors include four daughters, Joan (Elmer) Krueth, Saum, Minn., Judy (Larry) Olson, Peoria, Ariz., Sharon (John) Obermann, Weston, and Rose Ann (Ron) Lau, Neenah; two sons, Michael (Mary) Stachnik, Altoona, and Donald (Nancy) Stachnik, Spring, Texas; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene Smith, Delavan; and one brother, Stanley (Dorothy) Slachetka, Medford.

Service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, Wis. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, town of Hixon. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services Sunday at the funeral home.

Pauline Stachnik

Pauline Stachnik, 93, of Wausau, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, at North Central Health Care, Wausau, Wis.

Pauline was born Jan. 27, 1914, in Chicago to the late Joseph and Antonia Slachetka. She married Michael Stachnik on July 24, 1937, in Chicago. Michael preceded her in death Nov. 11, 1995. Pauline enjoyed spending time with her special friends, gardening, cooking, flowers and the special times with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pauline is survived by four daughters, Joan (Elmer) Krueth of Saum, Minn., Judy (Larry) Olson of Peoria, Ariz., Sharon (John) Obermann of Weston and Rose Ann (Ron) Lau of Neenah; two sons, Michael (Mary) Stachnik of Altoona and Donald (Nancy) Stachnik of Spring, Texas; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene Smith of Delavan; and one brother, Stanley (Dorothy) Slachetka of Medford. Pauline was preceded in death by one daughter, Laverne; and two brothers, Henry and John.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, Wis. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, town of Hixon. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services Sunday at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Gordon, and the staff of C Unit and 1 South at North Central Care Center for their excellent care and love they gave to our mom.
