Johnson, Ann (1911 - 17 APR 1940)

Funeral services were conducted from the Griebenow Funeral Home at two o’clock p.m. last Friday, April 19, for Miss Ann Johnson, who passed away at Chicago on April 17, 1940. The services were conducted by Rev. James Irish of Thorp. Interment was made in the Riverside Cemetery.

Pallbearers at the services were Clarence Strohkirch, Russell Strohkirch, Henry Strohkirch, Neil Vater, Carl Jensen and Robert Dempsey.

Miss Johnson left Owen about 15 years ago and for several years was confined to a sanitarium because of her poor health. The past several years that she has been living in Chicago, her life’s enjoyment has been handicapped by poor health, having suffered from dropsy.

Her passing is mourned by her two sisters, Alma Myerson and Clara Grecco; and two brothers, Frederick and Christ, and many friends whom she won despite her handicap.
