Wiersig, Arnold Rudolph (18 Sept. 1931 - 18 Apr. 1942)

Arnold Rudolph Wiersig, ten year-old son of Rudolph Wiersig of the town of Hull, died of scarlet fever at his home Saturday evening and private funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Central Wisconsin Co-operative Funeral Home at Marshfield. Internment was made in the family lot in the Colby cemetery, Rev. O. Hoffmann, pastor of Zion Ev. Lutheran church of Colby, officiating at the graveside services.

The boy was born on Sept. 18, 1931, in the town of Hull and was a fifth grade student at the Lutheran Parochial School of Colby at the time of his death.

Surviving are his father, three sisters and three brothers, all at home - Renata, Lucinda, Marena, Herbert, Norman and Eldor. His mother preceded him in death five years ago.

The deceased was a bright and congenial lad and will be sadly missed by his father, sisters, brothers and classmates.
