Kath, Arlyle (Sachse) Schultz (12 Jan 1930 - 07 Nov 2007)

Arlyle Kath, Loyal, died Wednesday, November 7, 2007, at St. Joseph’s Hospital Palliative Care Unit.

Arlyle was born January 15, 1930, in Cherokee, Wis., to William and Lena (Kowlak) Sachse.

Arlyle was married to Donald Schultz who preceded her in death March 21, 1961. She then married Otis Kath January 12, 1963. They farmed in the town of Beaver. She had a love of music and dancing and was hospitable to all. She enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. Arlyle was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and then St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Unity American Legion Auxiliary where she served as president.

Arlyle is survived by her husband, Otis, of Loyal; her children, Dennis Schultz of Dixon, Ill., Diane (Rick) Harder of Babcock, Donna (Barry) Gunderson of Osseo and Todd Kath of South Elgin, Ill.; six grandchildren, Misty Vitort, Jeremiah Harder, Dezeray Hafermann, Angela Card, Martin Schultz and Amber Gunderson; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her first husband, Donald.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2007, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, North Green Grove. Burial was in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Reverend Dr. Paul C. Hunsicker presided. Pallbearers were Paul Vitort, Dean Hafermann, Jeremiah Harder, Martin Schultz, Joshua Card, and Dan Pieper.

Visitation was from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at Maurina/Community Funeral Home, Abbotsford, Wis., and Saturday from 10:00 until service time at the church. Maurina/Community Funeral Home assisted the family.
