Edblom, Eleanor (Marriage - 2 Dec. 1942)

Attired in a gold-trimmed brown crepe dress and wearing a corsage of gold and white pompoms, Miss Eleanor Edblom, daughter of Arthur Edblom, Unity, exchanged nuptial vows with Norman Mellenthin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mellenthin, Spencer, in a candle-light ceremony performed in the Trinity Lutheran church at Unity last Saturday afternoon. The Rev. J. A. Olson officiated.

Mr. and Mrs. Ceceil Alexander, of Owen, brother-in-law and sister of the bride, attended the couple. Mrs. Alexander wore a street-length frock of brown crepe and a corsage of gold pompoms.

A wedding supper was served to the immediate families and a few intimate friends at the home of the bridegroom’s parents. A wedding cake and flowers decorated the table and streamers of gold and white formed a canopy overhead. Lloyd Mellenthin, Milwaukee, brother of the bridegroom, and Miss LaMyra Becken, Curtiss, were out-of-town guests.

Mr. and Mrs. Mellenthin are now at home to friends on the bridegroom’s farm near Spencer, Wis.
