Diedrich, David (03 Apr 1939 - 23 Sep 2007)

David Diedrich, 68, died Wednesday, Sep. 26, 2007.

A memorial service was held on Sep. 29, at St. John’s Lutheran Church (High Steeple), Town of Wien, Edgar. Interment was in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. The Reverend Matthew Christians presided. Full military honors were accorded by the Andrew Jay Sutter VFW Post 8527 and Chapman - Belter Unit Number 4, American Legion Post.

David was born April 3, 1939 to Alfred and Erna (Nehrbass) Diedrich in Marathon County.

He graduated from Athens High School in 1957 and served in the armed forces from 1958-1960.

David owned his won semi, hauling oversized freight for E. L. Murphy for 18 years and then hauled for Tombstone Pizza for 20 years.

He married Phyllis Callies on August 3, 1963, at St. John Lutheran Church (High Steeple), Edgar.

David is survived by his wife Phyllis (Callies) Diedrich; two daughters, Audrey (William) Klug, Menomonee Falls and Amy Diedrich, Fitchburg; two grandchildren and two brothers, James (Kathleen) Diedrich, Edgar, and William Diedrich, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Erna, father Alfred and a sister, Kendlyn.

Maurina - Community Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
