Krause, Solomon (16 Mar 1913 - 29 Sep 2007)

Solomon Krause, 94, Prentice, formerly of Curtiss, died Saturday, Sep. 29, 2007, at Memorial Health Center, Medford.

Funeral services were held at 11 am, Wednesday, Oct. 3, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Curtiss, Wis. Burial was in Abbotsford Public Cemetery with the Reverend Kris Bjerke-Ulliman presiding.

Pallbearers were John, Mark and Wayne Krause, Anne Mattson, Renee Harms, Shari Thieman and Mike Lindau.

Solomon was born March 16, 1913, in Hilbert to Edwin and Nora (Beil) Krause.

He attended Curtiss schools and Abbotsford, Wis. High School.

Solomon married Emma Heimbach on December 14, 1940 in Waukon, IA. Emma preceded him in death on June 1, 1999.

They farmed in the Town of Green Grove. Solomon hauled milk and logs.

Mr. Krause helped build St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Curtiss, Wis. He also enjoyed deer hunting and helping others.

Solomon is survived by his children, Greg (Pat) Krause, Prentice, Neil (Janet) Krause, Curtiss and Carol Lindau, Marshfield; seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Emma, he was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Herman, Edwin, Merwin, Alvin, Ervin and Calvin and one infant sister.

Maurina - Community Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
