Bradbury, Jean (Marriage - 13 Feb. 1943)

The Press in indebted to Lydia Slocomb, secretary of the Clark County Society of Southern California, for an account of the wedding of Jean Bradbury and Lt. Dale J. Herian, which took place in Phoenix, Arizona. Lt. Herian is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Herian, and was born in Neillsville, Wis. The Joseph Herian now resides in Los Angeles.

Miss Jean Bradbury and Lt. Dale J. Herian were united in marriage at the home of the bride’s parents, Dr. and Mrs. Charles Bradbury, in Phoenix, Arizona. Rev. Edwin S. Lane performed the ceremony at 5 p.m., February 13, before a hundred relatives and friends.

The bride wore her sister’s wedding gown of cream colored taffeta, and a lace cop and short veil fashioned from her grandmother’s wedding ensemble. She carried an heirloom parchment prayer book, the top of which was covered with a white orchid.

Mrs. Arnold Meiners, Jr., of Palo Alto, sister of the bride, was matron of honor and was attired in a blue marquisette gown and wore pink azaleas in her hair.

Mrs. Herian graduated last spring from the University of California at Los Angeles, and is a member of the Alpha Phi sorority. Prior to her marriage she was with the Douglas Aircraft Company in the personal department.

Lt. Herian is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Herian of Los Angeles, (formerly of Neillsville, Wis.) He received his degree of business administration in the University of California at Los Angeles, and was graduated from the University of Southern California School of law. He was a member of Phi Kappa Sigma social fraternity and Phi Delta Phi law Fraternity, and is a member of the California Bar association. He is stationed at Camp Haan, Calif., near Riverside. After a short honeymoon Lt. and Mrs. Herian returned to Riverside where they will make their home while Lt. Herian is stationed at Camp Haan.
