Kunce, Marie (Marriage - 5 May 1943)

Announcement is made of the marriage of Miss Marie Kunce, daughter of Mrs. Frank W. Kunce, formerly of Neillsville, to Mr. Gale Hiles, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hiles of this city, which took place at the Sacred Heart Church in Eau Claire on May 5, 1943; Father Pitts officiated at the double ring ceremony.

The bride wore a navy blue suit with luggage accessories and a gold locket, which was a gift from the groom.

The couple was attended by Mrs. Donald Hatton and the bride’s brother, Dale Kunce.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s mother in Eau Claire for friends and relatives, including Mr. and Mrs. Alva Howard, Granton, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hatton, Greenwood, Mrs. Henry Lindsley and James Donahue, Neillsville, Wis.

A farewell party was given for Mrs. Hiles at the Eau Claire hotel by friends and employees of the Ea Claire Ordnance plant on April 26, at which several beautiful gifts were presented to the guest of honor.

Mr. and Mrs. Hiles will reside in Neillsville, where the groom is employed by the Clark County Welfare department.
