Grimes, Jean (Marriage - 17 June 1943)

Miss Jean Grimes, sister of Mrs. Robert Reimer of Neillsville, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Grimes, Bellingham, Wash., and Warrant Officer Stanley L. Andersen, son of Rev. and Mrs. H. E. Andersen, Fragaria, Wash., were united in marriage in the reception room of the Winnebago Mission, Neillsville, on June 17, 1943, at 6:00 p.m., the Rev. Ben Stucki performing the double ring ceremony.

The bride and her attendant, her sister, Mrs. H. A. Schendeldecker, were both attired in street length dresses. The bride’s was white crepe and she carried a bouquet of white iris and lilies of the valley. Her attendant was attired in beige and brown and carried pink carnations.

R. J. Reimer attended the groom.

The bride’s mother wore a dress of navy blue and white crepe and her flowers were American Beauty roses.

Warrant Officer and Mrs. Andersen left immediately for Florida, where he is stationed in the army air force. The bride has been employed as a stenographer in Seattle, Wash.

Out-of-town guests attending the wedding were: Mrs. R. A. Grimes, Bellingham, Wash., mother of the bride, Mrs. H. A. Schendeldecker, sister of the bride, Bernice and David Schendeldecker, niece and nephew of the bride, all of Minong, Wis. The groom’s parents were unable to attend the wedding.
