Ditto, Lucy Mae (Marriage - 20 June 1943)

The wedding of Miss Lucy Mae Ditto, Keithsburg, Ill., to Lawrence Junchen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Junchen, Neillsville, was solemnized on June 20, 1943, at 11:30 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church parsonage in the town of Grant, the Rev. J. G. Buth reading the single ring ceremony.

The bride’s street length dress was navy blue with pink trim. She wore a hat to match and had a corsage of roses.

The bridesmaids, who all wore street length dresses, were Miss Helen Braatz, Miss Elmira Junchen and Mrs. Harold Junchen. Miss Braatz and Miss Junchen wore navy blue and Mrs. Harold Junchen was dressed in light blue. Each wore a nosegay.

The groom and his attendant, Harold Junchen, his brother, wore white carnations.

A wedding reception was held at Wagner’s party room, 15 guests being in attendance. The room was decorated in white streamers and bouquets of flowers.

The bride has been employed as a beauty operator. The groom was a graduate of the Neillsville High School and of River Falls State Teacher’s college. He has been teaching at Sherrard, Ill. Mr. and Mrs. Junchen left Sunday for Menomonie where Mr. Junchen will attend school at Stout Institute.
