Sticker, Helen Frieda Pauline (12 June 1883 - 27 April 1943)

Mrs. Christian M. Stricker, 266 South Court Street, passed away at the Marshfield hospital on Tuesday, April 27, 1943. Mrs. Stricker had been ill since last fall, undergoing two operations within recent months.

The departed was born June 12, 1883, to Mr. and Mrs. William Klett in a small town near Berlin, Germany. Her given name was Helen Frieda Pauline. She came to America when she was about a year old.

After her marriage to Christian M. Stricker, Jan. 4, 1913, at Blue Hill, Neb., the couple came to Clark County, Neillsville being their home since, with the exception of the first seven years when they lived at Fairchild and four years which they spent at Marshfield.

They are the parents of two children: Corp, Harry Stricker, with the armed forces in New Guinea and Vernia, Mrs. Laurin Mallory, Neillsville, Wis.

She is survived by her husband and children and by a brother, William Klett, Everett, Wash.

Mrs. Stricker was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and until recently she had been a member of the Ladies Aid of that organization. Naturally sweet and gracious, Mrs. Stricker won the love and respect of a large group of friends. She was possessed of a quiet home-loving nature, her family and her home at all times receiving her first consideration, often to the point of great sacrifice in her own life.

Funeral services will be held at the Jaster Funeral Home and at St. John’s Lutheran Church on Saturday, may first, the Rev. William A. Baumann officiating. Burial will be made in the Neillsville Cemetery.
