Gosse, Viola (Marriage - 6 Mar. 1943)

In a double-ring ceremony performed in the parsonage of the Wesley Methodist church at Wausau Saturday afternoon at 2:00 P.M., Miss Viola Gosse, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Gosse of Colby, exchanged marriage vows with Edwin Paul Ewert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ewert of Unity, Wis. Rev. H. C. Strahmer officiated and the attendants were Miss Evelyn Greening and Rudolph Lynn.

The bride wore a shoulder corsage of American Beauty roses with her coffee-brown tailored gabardine suit, and chose Kelly green accessories to complete the costume. Miss Greening was attired in a rust colored wool suit-dress and soft blue accessories. She wore a corsage of mixed flowers. The groom’s mother wore a black crepe dress and the bride’s mother was attired in blue. Both had corsages of pink carnations.

Immediate relatives and closest friends were entertained at a 6:30 o’clock dinner at the home of the groom’s parents and a reception for 30 guests followed. Green, pink and white streamers were used for decorating the residence.

Mr. and Mrs. Ewert will reside in Wausau where both are employed in the Wausau Iron Works. The bride attended Colby, Wis. High School and the groom was graduated from the Unity, Wis. High School.
