Siegert, Grace Amelia (Marriage - 8 Mar. 1943)

Miss Grace Amelia Siegert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Siegert of Dorchester and Frank A. Duellmann, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry A. Duellmann of Abbotsford, were united in marriage in a ceremony performed in St. Louis Catholic church at Dorchester Monday, March 8th, at 9:00 A.M. Rev. Phillip T. Weller officiated and the children’s choir sang the mass. The couple was attended by Miss Loretta Siegert, the bride’s sister, and Paul Duellmann.

The bride was attired in a white satin gown made with a sweetheart neckline and a bouffant skirt ending in a long train. Lace insertions on the dress matched the border of her fingertip veil caught to a seed pearl headdress. Her attendant wore a pink taffeta dress fashioned with a full skirt, sweetheart neckline and short, puffed sleeves and a matching headdress of rosebuds and pink net. The bride’s bouquet was pink roses and her sister’s roses and carnations.

Both mothers, viewing the ceremony, and at the festivities later, wore corsages of sweet peas. Mrs. Siegert was attired in a blue ensemble and Mrs. Duellmann in black.

Breakfast for the bridal party and dinner, supper, and a reception for the immediate relatives were held at the home of the bride’s parents decorated with pink and white streamers and wedding bells for the occasion. Later, a dance followed at the Dorchester recreational hall.

After March 15 the couple will be at home to friends at Abbotsford where the groom is employed as a truck driver.
