Svirnoff, Morris B. (21 Dec. 1904 - 12 Aug. 1943)

Morris B. Svirnoff, well known in Neillsville Community, died Thursday August 12, at Rochester, after an illness of one week. The funeral services and interment took place at Minneapolis, members of the family from here being present.

Morris Svirnoff, a business figure in Neillsville for 20 years, was born here Dec. 21, 1904, the son of Harry and Bertha Svirnoff. He attended school here and was graduated from the local high school. After graduation he came associated with his father in business in Neillsville, and continued this association until his father’s death in 1930. Thereafter he remained in the business; in association with is brother, I. E. Svirnoff.

Morris Svirnoff was an interested and active member of the Rotary club, and has been interested previously in the activities of the Junior Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and of the Odd Fellows. His characteristic as seen by his friends in the community was his willingness to fall in with suggestions for civic improvement and friendly enjoyment. He was always ready to join his friends and to help them carry out wherever they wanted to do. Because of his trait he will be greatly missed by the group of young business men with whom he associated.

He is survived by his mother and his brother.
