Commencement exercises for the senior class of Unity, Wis. High School will be held Thursday evening, May 18th, at 8 o’clock at the village hall. Eighth grade graduates will also have their exercises at that time. The following program will take place:

Mrs. Pearl Langjahr will play the processional; the Rev. M. B. Ferguson will give the invocation; Marine Salter will give the eighth grade salutatory; Elaine Parsons, the eighth grade valedictory; Melvin Davis, the senior salutatory; Lt. Joan Davis of Camp McCoy, the commencement address; Vivian Hebert, the valedictory. Principal R. W. Parsons will present the awards; S. A. Cook, the diplomas; the Rev. Mr. Ferguson, the benediction; and Mrs. Langjahr will play the recessional.

The senior class motto is "Not Finished - Just Begun," class flower, the pink carnation, class colors, old rose and silver.

Seniors who will receive diplomas are Melvin Davis, Vivian Hebert, Betty Flink, Dale Carlson, Merrill Bishop, Russel Van Sleet, Nina Radetzke, Harold Jewett, Corwin Dallman, Vivian Dallman, Delores Mews, Geraldine Hudson, and Evonna Allain.

The eighth grade class flower is the tea rose, colors are green and gold, motto, "Advance." Kathleen Allain, Harold Boyer, Nancy Colby, William Creed, LaVon Domer, Richard Fischer, Norbert Hartl, Melvin Kiltz, Robert Kiltz, Grace Landwehr, Leona Mews, Elaine Parsons, Maxine Salter, Alvina Stencil, JoAnne Tennis, and Gerald Hendrickson are the members of the eighth grade.

The loyalty banquet at the school Thursday night was attended by 44 people who saw letters awarded to the students who won them.

Athletic minors were awarded to Kenneth Josephson, Gerhardt Schulz, Edward Mews, Orville Van Sleet, Corwin Dallman, and Russel Van Sleet.

Scholastic minors were won by Elaine Ayer, Delores Martins, Jean Feit, June Schultz, Mable Schultz, and Vivian Hebert.

Major letters were given to Robert Cook, Marion Pech, Elaine Domer, Verna Johnson, Wayne Salter and Melvin Davis. Gifts were presented to Robert Cook and Maxine Salter for extra activities.
