Soderberg, Chester L. #2 (17 MAY 1899 - 20 APR 1940)

"Boydie" Soderberg passed away of a heart attack at his home at Medford (Taylor Co., Wis.) early Saturday morning. He appeared to be in good health, although he had suffered a similar attack last fall from which he had apparently recovered.

Chester L. Soderberg was born in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) on May 17, 1899, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Soderberg. On Nov. 14, 1917, he was united in marriage to Catherine Warner at Stanley. To this union were born two children. His wife departed this life in Sept. 1922.

Mr. Soderberg operated a car exchange at Medford at the time of his death and also was in the same business at Stetsonville and Thorp, several years ago.

He leaves to mourn his untimely demise, one daughter, Ceona L. Soderberg, and one son, Richard of Thorp, his aged mother, Mrs. Bertha Soderberg, two brothers, Ted R. Soderberg, Marinette, and Arthur Soderberg Sr., Thorp; five sisters, Mrs. Garfield Brown, Stanley, Mrs. Otto Glasshof, Menasha, Mrs. Wm. Glasshof, Thorp, Mrs. Warren Grace, Marinette and Mrs. Esther Warner, Thorp.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. James Irish at the Bogumill Funeral Home at two o’clock Monday afternoon, interment following in the East Thorp Cemetery. Pallbearers were, Chester Johnson, Hollis Decker, Vilas Telford, Dewey Andrews, August Velcheck and Wilfred Vanderhyden.
