Green Grove - Aug. 3, 1944

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wachsmuth and two children of Gleason were last week guests at the Emma Glenzer home.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ebert spent Wednesday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Winkel.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hake and Mrs. A. Hake visited with Mrs. Ray Boneske, a patient at St. Mary’s hospital at Wausau, Wisconsin, on Thursday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Alex Winkel entertained neighbors and friends at their home on Friday evening in compliment of the former’s birthday. Pinnochle was enjoyed and prizes were won by Mrs. M. C. Goetsch and Herman Steinke, first; Miss Virginia Glasby and Walter Schauer, second; Mrs. E. W. Schulz and Eric Schauer, third.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wachsmuth and children and Mrs. Emma Glenzer drove to Gilman on Thursday and visited at the Emil Wachsmuth home.

Mr. and Mrs. Nick Schaffer were Thursday evening visitors at the Wm. Winkel home.

Mrs. Bertha Schauer returned home on Wednesday evening after visiting several days at the Ben Graffunder home.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wachsmuth and children and Mrs. Emma Glenzer were Saturday and Sunday guests at the Wm. Jakel home near Curtiss, Wis.

Mr. and Mrs. Alex Winkel and daughters, Janice and Carol, were Sunday afternoon visitors at the August Schulz and George Theilig homes at Colby, Wis.

Mrs. Marvin Seefluth of Spencer spent several days last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. Kademan.

Mrs. John K. Jacobson spent the week-end with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Plutte. Corrine Jacobson, who spent her vacation with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Plutte since June 22nd, went home with her mother, Mrs. John K. Jacobson, Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Thieme called at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Al Nelson, Thursday.
