Curtiss, Wis. - Nov. 1, 1945

Mrs. Bill Anderson will be hostess to the Ladies’ Aid of the Ev. and Reformed church on Wednesday, October 7th.

The Ladies’ Aid of the Ev. Lutheran church will hold their regular meeting at the village hall on Thursday evening, Oct. 8th, at which time the Lutheran Ladies’ Aid of Holway will be their guests.

Miss Ethel Erickson has gone to Minneapolis, Minnesota where she is employed at a bank.

Mrs. Henry Peterson left on Friday evening for Sheboygan to visit her daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. Novak. Her two grand-daughters, who spent the summer here, returned home with her.

Miss Esther Thompson returned to Milwaukee on Friday after several weeks vacation at home.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Laabs and Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Laabs attended the cheese convention at Neillsville on Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Thompson and son, Dale, and Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Erickson spent Saturday at the home of Rev. and Mrs. W. L. Anderson and family at Prairie Farm.

Theo. Thompson entered the St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield, Wisconsin on Monday for treatments.

Mrs. Ida Kraut and son, Donald, returned home on Saturday from a visit with relatives in Madison and Milwaukee. Mrs. Kraut’s daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Zuelke of Madison, took them home and remained over the week-end.

Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Peterson spent the week-end with friends at Scandinavia and Waupaca.

Mrs. Ethel Bowen and son, Bobby, returned home on Friday from Swedesboro, N.J., where she had been employed the past summer. Her friend, Mrs. Chas. Bratton, *** Note: The rest of the article was cut off and not available at the time of transcription.
