Teporten, Katherine (26 Apr. 1865 - 2 Jan. 1945)

Mrs. Steve Teporten passed away Tuesday noon after being ill with old age complications the past several months. A rosary will be said Friday evening at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby, where the body is lying in state, and funeral services will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic church Saturday morning at 9:00 A.M., Rev. She came to Colby with her parents and was married here to Steve Teporten in April, 1890. Four children were born to this union, two of whom preceded their mother in death. Mr. Teporten passed away about eight years ago.

Surviving are two children, Mrs. Jack Frinak of Colby and Mrs. Henry Vanderyacht of Menasha; three sisters, Mrs. George Fecker of Colby, Mrs. Wm. Fecker of Abbotsford and Mrs. Frank Guetschow of Colby, Wis.

The deceased was a good Christian, a kind and faithful wife and mother, and, like all early settlers, of a congenial disposition, and always endeavored to perform her duties, faithfully, and well.
