Hatlestad, Mary (8 July 1873 - 12 Mar. 1945)

Mrs. Mary Hatlestad died at 1:25 A.M. Monday, March 12, 1945, at the home of her son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Mossing, a heart ailment and complications being the cause of her departure. The body is lying in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home where funeral services will be held Saturday, March 17, at 1:30 P.M. and at the Zion Ev. Lutheran church at 2:00 P.M., Rev. O. Hoffmann officiating, and internment will be made in the Colby cemetery.

The deceased was born in Ostrander, Minn., on July 8th, 1873, thus reaching the age of 71 years, five months and 19 days. She was married to Andrew Hatlestad on Nov. 23, 1892, at Preston, Minn. Her husband died in 1913. For the past seven years, she lived with her son in law and daughter in Colby, Wis.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. H. P. Mossing of Colby and Mrs. Jeanette Goldberg of Ostrander, Minn.; a son, Elmer Hatlestad of Minneapolis, Minn.; a sister, Mrs. Otto Hansen of Ostrander, Minn.; five grand children and one great grandchild.

Mrs. Hatlestad was a good Christian, honest in all her dealings. Being of a congenial disposition, she was well-liked by all who knew her.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Hatlestad were held Saturday afternoon at Zion Ev. Lutheran church in Colby, Wisconsin, Rev. O. Hoffmann officiating, and internment was made in the Colby cemetery. Pall bearers were E. A. Fleischauer, Carl Sabler, Walter Wiersig, Ernst Mandel, W. F. Schwantes and Ed Zillmann. Grand daughters, Doris Mae and Ruby Golberg, were in charge of the flowers.

Out of town people here for the funeral services were Mrs. Jeanette Golberg and Ruby Golberg of Ostrander, Minn., Doris Mae Golberg of Rochester, Minn., and Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Hatlestad of Minneapolis, Minn.
