Jolitz, Hugo (1877? - 20 May 1891)

Central - Wausau,

Hugo Jolitz, a boy of fourteen years, was found dead in his bunk in the sleeping shanty of the mill company at Ringle on Wednesday morning. There were men sleeping above and on either side of him, and another boy was sleeping with him. They all got up and went to breakfast in the morning but Hugo. When his bed fellow was asked why he didn’t come to breakfast he said he shook him and told him to get up, but he did not mind him. One of the men went to wake him and discovered he was dead. Hugo had been fishing Sunday near Kelly, fell in, and would have drowned had not a by-stander rescued him. He had not fully recovered from the effects of his immersion. It is thought he died of heart disease. His parents live near Kelly.
