Brill, Marguerite (Marriage - 2 Mar. 1946)

Miss Marguerite Brill, daughter of Mrs. Mary Brill of the town of Hull, and Victor E. Thiel, son of Mrs. Emma Thiel of Hamburg, route 1, exchanged marriage vows Saturday morning in the parsonage of St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby, the Rev. N. B. Beschta reading the marriage ceremony.

Attending the bridal couple were Miss Frances Brill of St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing, Wausau, a sister of the bride, and Benjamin Brill, Colby, her brother.

For her marriage the bride wore a gold suit with brown accessories and she had a corsage of orchids. Her sister-attendant had a rose suit with brown accessories and a gardenia corsage.

Besides the two attendants, only the bride’s and groom’s mothers were present at the ceremony, which was followed by a dinner at St. Mary’s gymnasium for about 60 relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Thiel plan to leave for California for a six week’s wedding trip.

The bride is a graduate of Colby, Wis. High School with the class of 1940 and her husband was graduated from Wausau High School in 1936. Mr. Thiel was employed by the U.S. Treasury Department in Chicago for two years before entering the Navy, from which he recently was discharged.
