Miller, Viola Mrs. (Marriage - 5 Oct. 1946)

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Schorer, who have been honeymooning in Minnesota since their recent marriage, are at home to friends at 626 Bridge street, Wausau. Mrs. Schorer, the former Mrs. Viola Miller, daughter of Mrs. Vincent Schillinger, Edgar, made her home in Wausau at 701 ½ Stark street, previous to her marriage.

The couple chose to be married on the birthday anniversary of the bridegroom’s mother, Mrs. Robert Schorer, who resides in Colby, and exchanged vows on October 5, in Colby before the Rev. Robert Lenhart, pastor of St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed church.

The bride wore a brown wool suit, with winter-white accessories, a feather-trimmed hat, and a corsage of yellow roses. For jewelry, she wore a locket and ear rings, which were gifts of the bridegroom. Mrs. Elmer Zander, of Wausau, who was her only attendant, was attired in a navy blue suit with navy hat trimmed with light blue feathers, and wore a corsage of pink and white carnations. Mr. Zander attended the bridegroom.

The bride’s mother was attired in navy blue and the bridegroom’s mother in black. Both had shoulder bouquets of pink and white carnations.

A reception was held at the home of the bridegroom’s mother, attended by 53 guests, and dinner was served at 5 o’clock to the immediate relatives. The house had been decorated with yellow, white and pink streamers and fall asters, autumn leaves and chrysanthemums. A three-tiered wedding cake centered the bridal table.
