Abbotsford, Wis. -- Frank E. Brodhagen Jr., 95, of Abbotsford, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, at Clark County Health Care Center, Owen, Wis.

Frank E. Brodhagen Sr.

Abbotsford, Wis. -- Frank E. Brodhagen Sr., 95, Abbotsford, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, at Clark County Health Care Center, Owen, Wis.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, Wis. Burial will be in Abbotsford Public Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Paul C. Hunsicker will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Eric Brodhagen, Ryan Brodhagen, Zachary Nelson, Sean Doepke, Stuart Kubow and Ed Zwirchitz.

Visitation will be from noon until time of services Monday at the church.

Maurina/Community Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Frank was born Feb. 7, 1912, to Frank and Martha (Mews) Brodhagen. Frank and Alice Christy were married Jan. 2, 1936. She died Nov. 9, 1996.

He attended Wood County Normal School and served in the Marshfield National Guard from 1923 to 1926. He worked for many years for Karau's Grocery in Marshfield. He owned and operated Frank's Bar and the Union Bar in Marshfield. Frank also owned and operated Kelly Tire Service in Marshfield. He then owned Brodhagen's Northland Henneries, which became Abbotsford Produce, operating since 1948 when they moved to Abbotsford, Wis. He owned Discount Bakeries in Abbotsford and Medford and Brodhagen's Meat Processing Plant in Abbotsford, Wis. Frank was the "Mr. B" of Mr. "B's" Restaurant and Service Station in Abbotsford for 26 years, opening in 1972.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking. Frank was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

Frank is survived by his children, Frank Jr. (Treva) Brodhagen of Marshfield, James (Lori) Brodhagen of Abbotsford, Robert (Bonnie) Brodhagen of Abbotsford, Beverly (James) Dorst of Claremont, Calif., and Bonnie (Robert) Stacke of Abbotsford; his grandchildren, Debra Porada, Vanessa Huber and James Dorst Jr. of California, Pam Stacke of Abbotsford, Mackenzie (Sean) Doepke of Marshfield, Alicen Brodhagen of Marshfield, Emily (Stuart) Kubow of Eau Claire, Hailey (Zachary) Nelson of Woodville, Whitney Brodhagen, Mary Brodhagen of Abbotsford, Kathy Brodhagen of Wausau, Eric (Timoly) Brodhagen of Dorchester, Jennifer Brodhagen, Lisa Brodhagen and Ryan Brodhagen; and eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Goldie Verhalen of Oak Creek.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alice; one daughter, Mary St. George; and one grandson, Todd Stacke.
