NEIGHBORHOOD NEWS ITEMS

Dr. F. P. Foley was a professional caller at Stetsonville Wednesday.

Mrs. L. W. Peterson was a Colby visitor Tuesday.

Rev. A. M. Arentz made a business trip to Colby Monday.

Mrs. Gabriel Jacobs is visiting with relatives and friends at Hermansville, Mich., during the Easter holidays.

P. C. Ludovic and John May of Medford were in the village a few hours Sunday visiting with friends.

Emery Miltimore returned to Portage Monday after a short visit at his home here.

Mrs. Valentine Staab returned recently from an extended stay at Bonville, Wis.

Miss Evelyn Sullivan who is teaching school at Loyal, is spending the Ester vacation at her home here.

Dr. H. Nedry of Medford was a professional caller in the village Tuesday.

Mrs. Therkelsen and family who formerly lived northeast of this village, left for Racine Saturday where they will make their future home.

Miss Josephine Goessl of Milwaukee returned to her home Wednesday after an extended stay at the home of Irving Goessl west of the village.

Miss Charlotte Nachtwey came home from Stevens Point Wednesday to spend the Easter holidays at her home west of the village. She is attending state normal at that city.

Mrs. Wm. Daley of Wyeville, Wis., who has been visiting for the past week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Lamer, returned Monday to her home in Wyeville.

Airship Garbrecht expects to make a flight in his new Zeppelin as soon as the air clears up. If anybody gets on without a ticket he intends to take them up about two miles and make them walk back. - Abbotsford Clarion

H. A. Maurer was a business visitor to Marshfield Monday.

John Schmitt made a business trip to Medford Monday.

Born recently to Mr. and Mrs. Emil Dane, a baby boy.

Mrs. E. M. Sorenson was a Colby visitor Monday.

Miss Tillie Sauter visited with relatives at Abbotsford a few days this week.

Mrs. George Bassler left last Saturday for Plainfield, Wis., to visit with her relatives for a short time.

Arthur Herman and Chas. Tessemer made a business trip to Medford Tuesday.

Mrs. Wm. Driscoll and son returned Tuesday from a short visit with relatives at Oshkosh.

E. W. Wigginton, the Soo assistant agent, left for his home at Nekoosa Wednesday to spend Easter.

John Zastrow has recently purchased the creamery formerly owned by Mr. Carpenter northeast of this village, and will operate it.

Wm. Hoffman came down from Westboro Sunday where he has been working the past winter in a camp near there.

Mrs. A. Kreie left this week for Manitowoc where she will spend the Easter holidays with relatives and friends.

Charles Stevens, who formerly worked in the livery barn here for a couple of years, was in town a couple of days this week renewing old acquaintances.

E. C. Hirsch, the principal of the Loyal High school, and non-partisan candidate for county superintendent of schools of Clark county, visited our village Tuesday and became acquainted with a large number of our citizens.

A grand Easter dance will be given in Knaak’s Hall at Jerkwater on Tuesday evening, April 6. Music will be furnished by the Ragtime orchestra. Everyone is cordially invited to attend and have a good time.
