Dins, Frederick A. (26 Mar. 1919 - 28 Dec. 2007)

Frederick A. Dins, 88, Colby, passed away Friday afternoon, December 28, at the Colonial Center in Colby, Wis.

Frederick was born March 26, 1919, in the Town of Colby to Otto and Louise (Schuman) Dins. He married the former Etta Kozik on June 17, 1950.

Frederick farmed in the Town of Colby until 1978 when he moved to the City of Colby, Wis. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Colby where he also served as a trustee. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and bowling.

Frederick is survived by two sisters, Bertha Schauer of Spencer and Dorothy Dins of Colby; and one brother, Rudy Dins of Edgar.

He was preceded in death by parents; wife; sister, Adeline; and brother, Otto.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 2, at 11:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby with Reverend Mark Neumann presiding.

Visitation was on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. Burial was in the Colby Memorial Cemetery in the Town of Colby

Memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church.

Pallbearers were Rick Dins, Ron Dins, Warren Schauer, Ken Schauer, Robert Wickersham and John Weis.
