Evelyn "Jeanne" Grajkowski

THORP -- Evelyn "Jeanne" **W. Grajkowski, 87, of Thorp, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp. Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary service, today at the Thorp Funeral Home, and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

She was born April 23, 1920, in Thorp to John A. and Minnie D. (Broeren) Schmidt. She was united in marriage to Victor Grajkowski on Aug. 28, 1945, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thorp. They farmed in Thorp and Evelyn worked as a cook for the Thorp Public Schools. They retired from farming in 1986. Victor preceded her in death April 16, 2002.

She is survived by her children, Doris Grajkowski, Fond du Lac, Gerald (Hsiu Lan) Grajkowski, Thorp, Kenneth (Donna) Grajkowski, Spencer, Kathleen (James) Hoeser, Wauwatosa, Elaine (David) Braun, Oregon, Sharon (Frank) Shaffer, Sheridan, Wyo., and Dianne Gilbert (Terry Neuman) Spencer; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
