Schueller, Joseph H. (13 Mar. 1859 - 13 Oct. 1946)

Joseph H. Schueller, formerly of Colby and a retired rancher of California, died at his home in Visalia, Calif., Sunday afternoon at the age of 87 years after a lengthy illness. He was born March 13, 1859, in Sheboygan, Wis. The deceased lived in this community many years and had many friends here. He owned the farm which was later purchased by John Law. He moved from here to California where he operated a ranch, and, when 84 years of age, he did his own plowing.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic church in Visalia where a rosary was said for him and where funeral services were held.

Surviving are his wife, Emma, three daughters, Mrs. Kathryn M. Freimund of Brantwood, Wis., Miss Anna F. Echueller of Visalia and Mrs. Florence Howard of Los Angeles; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
