Krueger, Kathryn Hazel (Marriage - 25 Oct. 1947)

Kathryn Hazel Krueger, daughter of Mrs. Mary Krueger, and Herman Paul Gosse, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Gosse, exchanged marriage vows at the Zion Lutheran church, Saturday, Oct. 25, at 2:00 p.m., Rev. O. Hoffmann reading the marriage ceremony. Mrs. Arthur Schuh, sister of the groom, was matron of honor and Mrs. Elroy Schade was bridesmaid. The groom was attended by Arthur Schuh and Elroy Schade. Ushers were Alvin Krueger and Melvin Gosse.

The bride was attired in a gown of white satin with chantille lace inserts, Dutch bonnet of seed pearls and fingertip veil. Her shower bouquet consisted of red roses and white mums. The matron of honor and the bridesmaid wore similar gowns of French blue taffeta with shirred peplum and their colonial bouquets consisted of pink carnations and white mums. The bride’s mother wore a dress of navy blue and the groom’s mother was in black. The corsages of both mothers consisted of red carnations and white mums.

A reception was given at the home of Alvin Krueger which was decorated with white and blue streamers. The wedding table was decorated with a three-tiered wedding cake and candles. In the evening, a dance was given at Walter’s pavilion.

The couple will be at home after Nov. 10th at Colby where the groom is employed at construction work.

Out of town people for the wedding included: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bender, Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Bender and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gosse, Gilbert Gosse, and Mr. and Mrs. Arlie Gosse, all of Manitowoc county; Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Ewert and family, Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Tony Glenzer and family, Rib Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Raymond and daughter, Wausau; Mrs. John Burtard and Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Koerner of Curtiss.
