Trester, Christine (3 Feb. 1860 - 23 Feb. 1947)
Christine Trester died at her home in Dorchester Sunday, Feb. 23, at 9:00 a.m. at the age of 87 years. She suffered a stroke a year ago from which she recovered but suffered another stroke Feb. 15. Her death resulted from complications which set in. Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church at Dorchester Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Sprengler officiating, and internment was made in Pine Hill cemetery at Curtiss. Grandsons were pall bearers and were Edward Miller, Lester Miller, Clarence Miller, Walter Lipprandt, Delbert Trester and Carl Bierbaum.
The deceased was born Feb. 3rd, 1860, in Pommern, Germany, and came to this country at the age of 17 years. She was married in Golden Lake, Wis., to August Trester at the age of 24. They moved onto a farm one and one-half miles east of Curtiss in 1886 where they lived until 1916, the year in which her husband died. She then moved to Dorchester where she made her home ever since.
Surviving are four daughters and two sons - Emile Trester of Milwaukee, John Trester of Milwaukee, Mrs. Herman Lipprandt (Anna) of Owen, Mrs. Ernest F. Miller (Martha) of Colby, Mrs. Henry Neuhaus (Hedwig) of Spring Grove, Ill., Mrs. Eldon Pollnow (Helen) of Dorchester, Wisconsin. There are 23 grand children and 27 great grand children.
Out of town people attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. John Trester, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Trester, Delbert Trester, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bierbaum, and Mrs. Bessie Schrm, all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Miller of Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Grube of Owen and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest F. Miller of Colby, Wisconsin.
