Schoelzel, DuWayne (26 July 1926 - 29 Sept. 1947)
Funeral services for DuWayne Schoelzel, whose death was chronicled last week, were held Friday afternoon at the First Ev. and Reformed church, Rev. J. C. Klingeberger officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.
Military rites were in charge of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Pall bearers were Norman Kasper, Jim Firnstahl, Roy Gutenberger, Richard Witte, Roy Miller and Arvin Gosse; color bearers were Mike Stieber and Angus Lamont, Jr., guards were Wm. Zassenhaus and Orville Baumgart; members of the firing squad were Wilfred Hedler, Dave Stieber, Harold Kademan, Ernie Strathman, Henry Weix and Orville Davis with Howard Rannow in charge; Howard Mossing, buglar.
