Curtis - Aug. 26, 1948

A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Klemetson at Victory Hospital, Stanley, on Thursday, Aug. 19th.

The Helping Hand Society of the Congregational church will meet at the Memorial park on Friday, Aug. 27th.

The Ladies’ Aid of the Ev. and Reformed church will be hosts to the aids of Stratford and Colby at their regular meeting on Sept. 1st at the village hall.

Miss Dorothy Heider of West Salem is a guest at the Lee Smiley home this week.

Misses Minnie and Alma Thompson, who have spent the past few weeks with their brother and sister in law, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Thompson, left on Saturday for Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bakke and Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Erickson spent the week-end at a resort near Phillips, Wis.

Stacey Green of Eugene, Oregon, is visiting his sisters, Mrs. Edith Neitzel and Mrs. Lucy Johnson this week.

Mr. and Mrs. Linwood Harris, James Mowery and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Peterson were among those who attended the state fair at West Allis the past week.

Mrs. Gusta Kobs and daughter of Chicago are visiting the former’s son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kobs.

Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Hennlich, Mr. and Mrs. George Edwards and daughter were those from here who attended the Merwin family annual reunion at Rib Hill Park, Wausau, on Sunday, August 22nd.
