Lenz, Marie Frances (19 Oct. 1894 - 12 Oct. 1943)

Mrs. Julius Lena of Neillsville passed away Tuesday afternoon at the Neillsville Hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 at the Jaster Funeral Home, and at 2 p.m. at the St. John’s Lutheran Church. The body will be taken to Chicago for burial.

Funeral services for Mrs. Julius Lenz, who passed away at the Neillsville hospital on Tuesday, October 12, were held on Thursday, October 14, 1943, at 1:30 p.m. at the Jaster Funeral Home and at 2 o’clock at St. John’s Lutheran Church, the Rev. William A. Baumann, pastor of the church, conducting the services.

The deceased was born Marie Frances Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Johnson, on October 19, 1894, in La Salle, Ill. When she was a small child, her parents, now deceased, came to Clark County, purchasing a farm in the town of Levis, where she resided at the time of her death.

At the age of 18, she returned to Chicago, where on September 8, 1923, she was married to Julius Lenz. In 1930, Mrs. Lenz came with her husband to Clark County to operate her father’s farm. Her earthly life ended at the age of 48 years, after an illness of fifteen months.

Mrs. Lenz is survived by her husband and three children, Frances, Mrs. Ray Strebing, Neillsville, and Caroline and Leroy at home. There are two grandchildren. One sister and two brothers also survive. Mrs. Leona Hartwig, and William B. and Joe Johnson, all of Chicago, Ill. Burial took place in Bathania Cemetery, Chicago.
