Mueller, Lawrence A. (6 Feb. 1905 - 23 Jan. 1984)

COLBY--Services for Lawrence A. Mueller, 78, Route 1, Conrath, who died Monday morning at Rusk Memorial Hospital in Ladysmith, will be at 11 a.m. at the Rux Funeral Home in Colby, Wisconsin. Mr. Mueller had been hospitalized since Dec. 9.

The Rev. Kenneth A. Dix of First United Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in Colby Memorial cemetery (Colby, Wisconsin). Visitation at the funeral home will be after 4 p.m. today.

He was born Feb. 6, 1905 in the town of Green Grove, to the late Mr. and Mrs. August Mueller. He moved to Colby with his parents and received his education in schools there. He later attended business college in Wausau and then returned to help his parents and brother in Mueller Bar and Grille and Boarding House. He entered the armed forces in 1941.

He and Gwen Kincaid were married Nov. 14, 1942 in the Methodist parsonage in Omaha, Neb. He received his honorable discharge in 1943 and then came back to Colby, where he and his wife helped his brother in the family business. In 1966 he and his wife moved to Lake Holcombe.

Survivors include his wife; and one brother Walter Mueller of Holcombe. He was predeceased by one brother.
