Grace E. Kraemer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kraemer of Marshfield, and George A. Schmidt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Schmidt of Colby, route 1, were united in marriage in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic church in Marshfield Saturday morning, Jan. 26th, at 9:00 A.M., Rev. Edmund Cramer officiating. Carolyn Hegerich, a niece of the bride, was maid of honor and Mrs. Clarence Kraemer, sister-in-law of the bride, and Elly Beyer, friend of the bride, were bridesmaids. The groom was attended by Clarence Kraemer, brother of the bride, as best man and Harold Schmidt, brother of the groom and Malcolm Cendt, friend of the groom.
The bride was attired in a floor length gown of imported rose point lace over satin styled with fitted bodice, sheer net yoke outlined with secrents and rhinestones. The skirt had a pleated swirl of net ruffles on the bottom of the billowy lace skirt. The maid of honor wore a short white bolero jacket over strapless gown, shirred satin top with peplum of satin coming to points bordered with net ruffle and over satin skirt. The bridesmaids’ dresses were in heavenly blue, styled identically to that of the maid of honor.
The bride’s bouquet consisted of red roses and gladiola bulbs centered with white lily. Her attendants’ nosegay bouquets consisted of red roses and white pompoms.
A reception and dinner was held at the home of the bride’s parents. The couple will make their home near Colby where the groom is engaged in farming.
