Wucherpfennig, Lenora E. (Marriage - July 1952)

Miss Lenora E. Wucherpfennig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reinhold Wucherpfennig and Leslie E. Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Williams, all of Unity, were united in marriage at the Zion Lutheran church in Colby, Wis., Rev. Paul Dietz reading the marriage ceremony.

The bride was attired in a gown of white nylon over satin featuring long sleeves of lace, a yoke with an off-the-shoulder effect, and a full train. Her finger-tip veil extended from her beaded headdress and she carried a purple orchid and lilies of the valley arranged on a small white fan.

Yellow, orchid and green frocks, respectively were worn by Carol Wucherpfennig, the maid of honor, and Lucille Wucherpfennig, a bridesmaid, both sisters of the bride, and the other bridesmaid, Diana Williams, as sister of the groom. Each carried a bouquet of contrasting carnations.

Victor Sandley was best man and Gordon Hoefs of Stratford, a cousin of the bride, and Darrell Loos of Colby, the groom’s cousin, were groomsmen. Eugene Allar of Unity, the groom’s brother-in-law, ushered.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents and dinner was served in the church parlors. In the evening, a dance was held at the Colby Park Pavilion.

Guests at the wedding were from Stratford, Colby, Auburndale and Unity, Wis.
