Tresemer, Marcia Kay (Marriage - 17 June 1978)

Marcia and David Lewis to make Virginia home

Marcia Kay Tresemer and David Arthur Lewis were united in marriage, Saturday afternoon, June 17, in services at the Neillsville United Methodist Church.

Marcia, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Tresemer, 310 Grand Ave., Neillsville, and David, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Darol Lewis, Rt. 1, Neillsville, were wed by the Rev. William Noble.

Marcia, who was given away by her father at the 2:30 p.m. service, carried a cascade of yellow roses, yellow, white and pink daisies, pink carnations and baby’s breath. Her dress was styled of nylon organza with long sleeves and scoop neckline. The skirt was accented by two wide ruffles and swept into a chapel train. With Chantilly lace trimming the neckline, cuffs and bodice, she also wore a veil of silk illusion secured to a headpiece trimmed with Venician lace.

Serving as matron of honor was Judy Buchholz, Neillsville, the bride’s sister. She was joined by Diane Tresemer, the bride’s sister, and Cheryl Henchen, the bride’s cousin, both from Neillsville. The matron of honor wore a yellow print sheer polyester gown, lined with yellow satin and featuring a fitted bodice, full skirt and ruffled bottom. The brides-maids were attired in matching pink dresses. The attendants carried cascades of pink, yellow and white daisies, mums and roses with baby’s breath.

Serving as best man, was Todd Lewis the groom’s brother, Neillsville. Joining him were Jim Chadwick, the groom’s cousin, Norfolk, Virginia, and Tim Tresemer, the bride’s brother, Neillsville.

Serving as ushers were Dennis Buchholz and the groom’s brother, Brad Lewis, both of Neillsville. Another brother of the groom, Glen Lewis, was ring bearer and accompanied Lori Kent, the bride’s cousin, as flower girl.

Vocal music at the wedding, "Evergreen" and "the Wedding Song," was offered by Sandi Zager, the bride’s cousin from Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, accompanied by Iris Musil.

After a wedding trip to an undisclosed location, the couple will reside at 196 Sebastian Drive, Virginia Beach, Virginia, where the groom is serving with the U. S. Navy. Both the bride and groom graduated from Neillsville High School in 1975.
