Voght, Luretta Ann (15 Aug. 1880 - 24 May 1952)

Mrs. John H. Voght of Unity, Wisconsin died Saturday in St. Mary’s Hospital in Wausau, Wisconsin at the age of 71 years. She had been a patient in the hospital since January 22. Funeral services were held at the Helke Funeral Home in Wausau Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Marvin A. Schilling, pastor of the First Methodist church in Wausau officiating, and burial was made in the Pine Grove cemetery.

The former Luretta Ann Brintnall was born on a farm in the town of Unity on August 15, 1880. When she was 12, she and her parents moved to the village of Unity, where she finished grade school and two years of high school. She began teaching in the Clark county schools in September, 1896, and continued until 1904. In July of that year she took her mother to Seattle, Wash. She was married there on February 23, 1905, to John Herman Voght. After their marriage, they returned to Unity, and in 1908, cleared land east of Unity where they built a home. In 1917, they moved to Wausau where Mr. Voght was employed and is also a former Marathon county highway commissioner. He retired in 1938 when they moved into a small home on their farm in Unity, Wis.

The only near relative surviving is the widower.
